Intro
Sen emerged victorious, but his triumph came with complications. After defeating an elder from the Soaring Skies Sect and rescuing the mortals in the Silver Crane, Sen’s moment of glory was overshadowed when he accidentally revealed a demonic cultivator cabal. Understanding that a moving target is harder to hit, he escapes into the wilderness with Lifen and Lo Meifeng. In the wild, Sen discovers that not all enemies seek to end his life and that some threats can’t be faced with a blade. He must explore the depths of his own being and push his cultivation to new limits, or he risks losing something far more valuable than his life—his soul.

- taking a ship to a far off city goes sideways when a massive storm forces Sen to protect the ship so that it could sail to a protective cove
- after a lucky encounter with a divine turtle the group makes landfall and are almost immediately on the run again from hired killers and corrupted cultivators
- Sen uses an attack that devastates a core realm cultivator with the unwanted help of the mysterious ribbon of Qi inside him
- after following a soul tug to an unknown destination the group is captured by a powerful old man who wants to turn them to his cults cause
- after months in confinement Sen finally convinces the old man to let him go but has to leave Lifen behind as she was turned to the cult’s cause
- following Lo Meifang to a fire aspect area on a mission to learn leads to Sen being drawn into a conflict between a fire sect and a water sect
- having been manipulated by Lo Meifang to help the fire sect and her brother Sen eventually reaches limit of blood and patience and cows the entire battlefield to stop the fighting
- after healing the injured, enduring awkward displays of respect, and a kidnapping request, Sen confronts Lo Meifang and voices his shattered trust in her
- After a reunion with his masters and falling leaf, the ghost panther turned human, Sen and his companions set off towards the capitol in search of a manual for Sen’s body cultivation
