Intro
Arthur Cain was a hero in his city, renowned as the top firefighter in his district. However, a call to the infamous “Halfbreed Heights,” the monsterfolk area, turns his life upside down. Although he rescued a matronly lamia that day, he was severely injured, leading to an early retirement. Unable to maintain his heroic image, Arthur’s wife divorces him, forcing him to move into a more affordable home in the same monsterfolk neighborhood responsible for his misfortune. To ease his daughter’s worries, Arthur reluctantly agrees to hire a caregiver from the monsterfolk-run service, Maid For You. The twist? The caregiver is the serpentfolk daughter of the woman he saved. This decision proves to be the best he’s ever made.
